I am blogging, hear me roar
Alcohol and women. Not a good mix. At least not to someone who is married to the most wonderful woman in the world; someone who has 4 beautiful children, with another on the way; someone who has the 'American Dream' home and a house-broken dog for a pet; someone who, well, someone who risks it all every time he combines alcohol and women. I'm not proud of the things I do. I just enjoy both lives that I live. In one existence I'm an IT Consultant who's been described as being 'married' to their work. I don't like to stay on one project too long, or else I risk getting bored and looking for employment elsewhere. My peers respect me for what I've accomplished at my age or my "juncture in life", whatever that means, even though it isn't anything significant like running my own company or developing the latest and greatest software. I just take pride in what I do and I like to take on everything 100% full-throttle, including my alcohol and women. My other existence I can only begin to describe by saying that women are a thing of beauty. A gift from God. And I'm not just talking about the gorgeous blonde, dressed-to-kill, that looks way too attractive to approach in a bar. I'm talking about all kinds of women. From the Average Joanne who doesn't realize she can have any man she wants because SHE ALSO notices the gorgeous blonde, dressed-to-kill; to the stunning young lady from New Zealand with an accent that would just be killer if she would utter a few, choice dirty words. I've spoken with women, whom of course I either a) end up sleeping with, end up fooling around with, or c) end up drinking way too much because the conversation with the woman is simply intoxicating, about the very topic of...women. I try to make them understand that women are in a homo-sapien class of their own. Some women get it and some don't. The ones that do get it, I believe, are the ones that have or would like to have a sexual encounter with another woman. "Not that there's anything wrong with that."
